This was discussed on their facebook page once, and whoever ran it said it would be handled. It never was.
Re: 3D coming to Norton Cinema?
I've been to multiple movies there and it literally has the worst picture of any movie theater I've been to in the last 5 years. Very dark, off center, and blurry every single time. It's something you can count on. The sound is also terribly distorted the majority of the time.
Also, like others said, the movie has turned off on us the last4 out of 5 times I've been there. Never once have they restarted it or given a refund despite being asked to.
Terrible picture, terrible picture, terrible management. If there was a decent movie theater (and I wouldn't call Norton Cinema decent) closer than 45minutes-an hour away, NC would be out of business.
Re: 3D coming to Norton Cinema?
Thats crazy... I got there EVERY single weekend and I've never had that happen to me once, watched a movie they said a section was cut out due to damage... you must just go at bad times.. movie cutting off in the middle like that 4 out of 5 times? ... sounds like an Exaggeration to me.
Theaters should give you rain checks if you don't see all the flim it sounds like you got screwed on that deal whoever didn't get to rewatch the movie that sucks
As far as it being off centered i've seen that a few times.. but i've seen that a few times anywhere you go to the movies.. You don't get less that the average "Full Screen" movie cut off. Sounds like a hater to me, Have you ever been to the theater in PIKEVILLE UGH this theater dominates it... and are you Really going to go to abingdon every weekend to watch an hour and a half movie? If you go only once every few months more power to you but if you crank out flicks like I do, most of what you watch isn't worth driving 45 minutes to abingdon to see something thats really in the end not that much better quality.

It's happened to me, too... it's the worst, when the picture is blurry and the lips move faster than the sound and they won't fix it or rain check.
It's also funny, that there was discussion on their facebook about the problems, but it's no longer there?? hhmm...

I've never had a problem with a picture there either. It would look much better in digital though. That'd be a much better investment than that 3-D garbage.
Re: 3D coming to Norton Cinema?
dang, maybe im just unlucky or they have fixed it since the last time i was there. people got up and walked out of dark knight because it was so bad.
Re: 3D coming to Norton Cinema?
I saw Dark Knight there and had no problems. It could be something as simple as the monkey's who are running it on a certain day.

Same with me. I went back a 2nd time with my brother and it was fine.
Hot Tub Time Machine cut out about 5 minutes of the movie, and Old Dogs the picture went out for about 5 or 6 minutes and the sound stayed on.
